Gergő Kardos completed his first S1GP World Championship weekend with 16th place in both the Fast Race and the Super Final at Visonta. The two Sunday races added valuable competitive mileage against the international field.
After the event, Kardos drew a clear distinction between his performance on asphalt and off road. He was encouraged by his lap times on the paved sections, while the unfamiliar dirt sector proved much more demanding than the parts of the circuit that suited his road-racing background.
The event was also significant beyond his personal result. Hungary was hosting an S1GP World Championship round for the first time, allowing local riders to take on established competitors in front of a home crowd.
The lessons from 2025 would prove relevant a year later, when Kardos returned to Black Star Speedway Visonta to race in the asphalt-only S4 European Championship category.
