The MBH Befektetési Bank Supermoto Cup, held on 8 August 2026, offered an important opportunity to prepare for the Hungarian Grand Prix. Gergő Kardos joined a competitive S4 field at Visonta and challenged for podium positions alongside other Hungarian riders.
Spanish rider Alex Gourdon won the event and set a new asphalt-only S4 lap record. The pace and intensity of the contest offered an early indication of the level expected at the European Championship round in September.
S4 racing takes place exclusively on asphalt. Hard braking, rapid direction changes and close racing put a premium on precise riding and motorcycle setup.
For Kardos, the home event delivered useful race mileage and a benchmark against selected international rivals. Attention then turned to the 4–6 September S1GP Hungarian Grand Prix weekend at Black Star Speedway Visonta.
