The official entry list for the 2026 Hungarian Grand Prix confirmed Gergely Kardos in the S4 European Championship field. The Hungarian rider entered his home round with the familiar number 164 on a TM Moto motorcycle.
The 16-rider S4 field included international competitors as well as the two home entries, Kardos and Zoltán Kovács. It was the first appearance of the category on the Hungarian S1GP Grand Prix programme.
S4 differs from the premier S1GP class in one important respect: racing takes place exclusively on asphalt. Heavy braking and quick direction changes place different demands on both rider technique and motorcycle setup.
The official list identifies the motorcycle manufacturer as TM Moto. It does not confirm the exact model, engine displacement or full technical specification, so those details should not be assumed without an additional source.
