The S1GP Hungarian Grand Prix returned to Black Star Speedway Visonta for its second edition on 4–6 September 2026. Alongside the World Championship action, the event hosted a round of the S4 European Championship.
For Gergő Kardos, the return had a particular significance. After taking part in the premier S1GP class in 2025, he came back a year later to compete in S4, a category built around asphalt-only racing.
Kardos and Zoltán Kovács represented Hungary in the S4 field. The schedule began with practice on Friday, followed by Qualifying and the opening race on Saturday and two further S4 races on Sunday.
With close battles and demanding braking zones, S4 offers a distinctive racing challenge. Kardos’s earlier road-racing experience made the category a natural area in which to test himself against international opposition.
